Jay co-founded Jayman MasterBUILT in 1980 along with his late father Al. As the current Chairman and CEO of both Jayman BUILT and JWI Investments, Jay brings his signature family passion, drive and innovation to inspire our team. Jay is the past Chairman of the Alberta New Home Warranty program, founding member of the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta, and past President of the Calgary and Alberta Home Builders Association. His accolades include the Association of Fundraising Professionals Doc Seaman Individual Philanthropist Award for 2017, 2005 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Prairie Region), and the 2004 Consumer Choice Award Businessman of the Year. Jay has also received the distinguished alumni award from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
President and Chief Operating Officer, Jayman BUILT Single Family
Dave joins our team with close to 30 years’ experience in both operational and financial leadership across manufacturing, software, food service and retail in demanding and customer-centric organizations. He’s a proven executive with a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University at Montreal, is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a board member of the Calgary Food Bank. He has a self-described passion for creating high performance teams that are insanely customer focused.
Interim Chief Operating Officer
An executive with over 25 years of experience in public and private organizations, Scott’s experience spans the industries of grocery retail and wholesale, sporting goods retail and wholesale, private label brand management, residential housing and land development. He has a passion for retail and the way in which the consumer votes with their purchasing decisions. Scott has held a variety of roles over his career. Prior to accepting the interim position as Chief Operating Officer, he had been Executive Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer for both JWI Investments and Jayman Built Ltd for seven years.
Chief Financial Officer
Aasit Amin is a finance executive with over 25 years of experience in both public and private organizations in North America and Asia. Aasit has extensive experience and a strong track record of providing financial leadership and performance in the single family, multi family, condominium development projects, hotels development, retail entertainment centers and the audit and advisory business. In his current role as Chief Financial Officer, Aasit is responsible for managing the financial, administrative and risk management of the company. His many duties include forecasting, strategic planning, legal, managing the capital structure, private and institutional financing compliance, deal analysis and negotiations and maintaining a strong internal control environment.
Vice President, Single Family Housing – Calgary
Through dedication and hard work, Stephanie has risen through the Jayman BUILT ranks. Hired in 2002, Stephanie grew during her nine years in the role of Sales Manager for Innovations by Jayman. As a General Manager for Innovations by Jayman, her considerable experience in the industry, including extensive education in new home building and sales, made Stephanie an invaluable member of the executive team. Stephanie manages and directs all single family housing developments for the greater Calgary region.
Vice-President of Customer Experience
A long-time member of Jayman BUILT, Robin has held leadership positions within the sales team for single family in Jayman, as well as within the styleMagic and Design Centre teams. In this new position, Robin oversees the Jayman Realty, Jayman Financial, and styleMagic service areas to help create a wholistic approach to the process of purchasing a new home. Robin recognizes the importance of the customer journey within Jayman and will continue to further Jayman’s story for excellence in customer service.
General Manager, Jayman BUILT Edmonton Single Family
Charles joined Jayman BUILT in 2001. He has achieved great results in all of his different roles, while demonstrating ‘leadership’ within the organization to help build a positive, aspirational culture. In addition to his work at Jayman, Charles has extended his presence into the communities in which we do business to ‘give back’ and is currently a volunteer board member for Our House Addiction Recovery Centre, a non-profit organization based in Edmonton.
Executive Vice-President, Central Services Division
With over 35 years of experience in the home building industry, Larry has done everything from estimating, drafting and construction supervision through to production and project management. Larry joined the Jayman BUILT team in 2001 as Chief Operating Officer for their multi-family division, known as Innovations by Jayman. In 2009 he moved to the single-family division as Vice President of Jayman MasterBUILT. Most recently, Larry returned to his roots with the multi-family division as the Executive Vice President for both Calgary and Edmonton; most notably working on the unprecedented development of Westman Village. Today he leads our Central Services Division with his long tenure of experience and vision to ensure that Jayman BUILT maintains a dominant market position for innovative single-family housing in Alberta’s capital.
Executive Vice President, Multi-Family Calgary
Wallace Chow has over 30 years of industry expertise, an entrepreneurial spirit and extensive real estate experience in commercial, retail and multi-family residential development and management. His career has seen him directly responsible for a total of 2,703 residential units and 656,000 sq. ft. of commercial development experience, covering Lethbridge, Red Deer and Calgary developments.
Wallace introduced retail/residential mixed use projects to Calgary with Garrison Woods that, to this day, remains the epitome of this development form and is featured in Calgary’s Municipal Development Plan as a model for others to emulate. Within Jayman BUILT, Wallace leads in the acquisition, planning, development and design of Westman Village, and well as directs the vision of traditional multi-family projects such as Carnaby Heights in Nolan Hill, and Granite in Redstone.
